Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

DIGITAL DOWNLOADS

All digital products (printable wall art, digital prints, and downloadable files) are final sale and non-refundable. Once you complete your purchase, you will receive immediate access to download your files. Due to the nature of digital products, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges.

Please ensure you review product descriptions, dimensions, and file specifications before purchasing. If you experience technical issues downloading your files, please contact us at darkpapersociety@gmail.com and we'll be happy to assist you.

PRINT-ON-DEMAND PRODUCTS (Journals, Notebooks, Physical Items)

Made-to-order items are created especially for you and cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective, or if there was an error in production.

To request a return for a defective item:

  • Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at darkpapersociety@gmail.com
  • Provide your order number and photos clearly showing the defect or damage
  • We will review your claim and, if approved, send you a replacement at no additional cost

Items must be unused and in the condition you received them. We do not accept returns for buyer's remorse, incorrect size selection, or change of mind on made-to-order products.

DAMAGES AND ISSUES

  • Digital downloads (all sales final)
  • Made-to-order/personalized items (unless defective)
  • Sale items or gift cards

RETURN SHIPPING

If we approve a return for a defective or damaged item, we will provide a prepaid return label. For all other approved returns, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Returns must be sent to the address we provide after your return is approved. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

REFUNDS

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund.

EXCHANGES

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different item, please request a return (if eligible) and place a new order separately.

EUROPEAN UNION 14-DAY COOLING OFF PERIOD

If your order is shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return physical items within 14 days for any reason. Digital downloads are excluded from this right due to their immediate delivery nature. Physical items must be unused, in original condition, with all packaging and tags intact.
